Location, Location, Location

We want you in these chairs, not the ones in your car. We know you don't want to spend your entire vacation in a car that's why Catchin' Paradise's central location is such a great amenity. We are only nine short minutes to Rockport Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Texas. We are only 15 minutes away from the ferry to Port Aransas and the ferry ride is often filled with views of dolphins playing in the channel. We are close to several restaurants, shopping and nightlife. We are also far enough away from downtown you can actually sit on the deck chairs in the evening a not hear another sole.

Family Friendly

Vacation is all about spending time with family and friends and we have worked to make your vacation worry free. Ready to play some cornhole on our custom boards? We offer several board and card games that are fun for all ages. We have books to read to the kiddos at bedtime and for the adults during beach time. We offer beach towels, a cooler, and a beach cart to make your trip to the beach about enjoying your time instead of spending your time hauling gear. We also have a foldable high-chair and a Pack n' Play for the little ones. Speaking of the little ones, we didn't forget the plates, cups and utensils!

Boat and EV Friendly

The Gulf of Mexico offers world class fishing and Rockport is a well know destination for fishermen both amateur and professional. The island-style cottage offers covered parking with 12-foot ceilings to accommodate most boats. With plenty of depth, you can even leave your boat attached to your vehicle. The adjoining street provides plenty of room for you to reverse into the driveway. Even with you boat parked under the carport, there is still plenty of parking for other vehicles. Ocean Reef Cottages also provides a free boat washing station. If your electric vehicle needs a little juice, we have a NEMA 14-50 outlet with an extension cord to get you up and running.

Fully Stocked Kitchen

One of the biggest benefits when you book a short-term-rental over booking a hotel is access to the comforts of home including a kitchen. Our kitchen comes with everything you need to make a gourmet meal, or just a quick snack. We offer our guests a dual coffee maker that takes K-Cups or regular brewed coffee. We have a full-size refrigerator/freezer and large microwave. We also offer all of the cooking utensils and pots and pans you will need. We have an Insta-Pot, blender, and if you want to move the kitchen outside, we offer a propane grill. 

Community Pool

The beautiful large community swimming pool is open for all of our guests to enjoy. The pool is a short walk from Catchin' Paradise and a great way to spend your day. The pool has plenty of pool chairs to bask in the sun and get your tan. The pool also has a picnic tables and restroom facilities.

Outdoor Amenities

With great weather all year in Rockport, we want you to be able to enjoy the outdoors. On the deck we have four hand-made oversized deck chairs for you to reax and enjoy the cool bay breeze. Downstairs, we offer a picnic table that was handmade by your hosts, Terri and Phil! There is also a propane grill and a fish cleaning station. Finally, we offer an outdoor shower to wash away the beach.

Double Vanity

 If you have ever tried to get ready for a night out in one of those small hotel bathrooms with your significant other you know the benefit of a double vanity! This large double vanity offers plenty of room to change from your day in the sun to your night on the town clothes. The walk-in closet has plenty of storage for your luggage and toilet is located in its own room for your privacy. We include soap, shampoo and conditioner in case you forgot yours as well as plush comfortable bath towels. Each bathroom also has a hair dryer and large mirrors are located in the two guest rooms.

Washer/Dryer

Another benefit of booking a short-term-rental over a hotel is having your own washer and dryer. The full-size washer and dryer are free for all guests, and we include a few laundry detergent pods to get you going. We also have hangers for your clothes and an iron and ironing board, so you don't go out wrinkled!

Entertainment 

We offer high speed internet free to all of our guests. Each bedroom as well as the living room has a Smart TV that has free movies and TV shows. Additionally, each TV has the ability for our guests to cast from their mobile device or to log into their favorite streaming service.

Security Camera

Safety/Security

The safety and security of all of our guests is our #1 priority. We door have four exterior cameras that point towards the front door, the stairs, the storage unit and the parking area. These are for the safety of all of our guests and allow us to manage the property remotely. We also have a keyless entry system that allows us to provide each guest a unique code that is only good during their visit to reduce the chance of a guest arriving too early or staying too late interrupting your stay. The house also has smoke alarms and (even though we don't have gas appliances) we added a CO2 detector just in case! Finally, the stairs can get a little dark at night so we have two motion activated security lights to help you up and down.
